Brackett ISD Invites Private Non-Profits to Participate in Federal Programs
Brackett ISD is preparing to apply for federal funds under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and is inviting private non-profit schools to participate in equitable services. In compliance with Sections 1117 and 8501, the district must hold timely and meaningful consultations with private non-profit school officials before making decisions that impact their students’ and teachers’ opportunities to access federally funded programs.
Eligible private schools must provide proof of 501(c)(3) status, and students must meet program eligibility requirements. Programs available for participation include:
- Title I, Part A – Academic support for disadvantaged students
- Title I, Part C – Migrant Education
- Title II, Part A – Teacher and Principal Training and Recruitment
- Title III – English Language Acquisition and Academic Achievement
- Title IV – Student Support and Academic Enrichment
- IDEA-B and IDEA-B Preschool – Special Education Services
